Our beautiful hotel room at the West-In Miako in Kyoto.   This is the control panel for the toilet.
Yes, there was a Star Wars convention in town when we were there. Do those storm troopers look shorter to you?
They had moats protecting themselves from intruders. However, the ninjas had developed special shoes to walk across the moat. (See ninja house below)   Andy by a huge bonsai tree...but if it is huge how could it be a bonsai?

    A nice little Japanese garden.

The Ninja Museum contained both a museum filled with Ninja artifacts and an actual Ninja house. The house had secret passage ways everywhere, hidden stairs, hidden compartments, hidden weapons and revolving walls.
This is one of the Ninja tour guides popping open a secret floor board...unschething her sword...and getting ready to kill...and all in less than a second!
Josh going through one of the revolving walls. Andy tried to go through as fast and the ninjas did, but ended up smashing his fingers.
Andy with the Tea Ceremony lady.
Tepanyaki Chefs.
What is a trip to Japan without some Karaoke?

A very famous zen rock garden. There is only 1 spot where a person can stand and see all the rocks in the garden.
The Kanji for North, South, East, and West.
A beautiful lake with tons of lilly pads.
This temple is actually covered with plates of real gold.
