Welding and the related processes have always been of interest to me. I will be posting more pictures and articles about welding as I travel around the country. I hope that you find the site and my Weblog http://wcwelding.blogspot.com/ useful or entertaining at least.

August 22, 2009 Reviewing Old Products:
Vintage Stool (about 100 made 1996-2007)
It had an oak or poplar seat and an aluminum base. Pictures show how the item looks now and when I made it.

The stools were all about 16 inches tall and were made primarily to sit on while servicing a motorcycle. They were easy to move around and strong enough to hold the weight of most vintage and modern off road motorcycles. The wood can get scuffed up but it is restorable and replaceable. I sold the stools for $80.00
Engine Stand (about 100 made 1996-2007)
The stand bases varied over the years but were all aluminum and used the same style 2 inch clamp to hold the engine mounts.

The bases were 12 X 16 inches with the riser varying in height on a 15 degree angle. I bought the aluminum clamps from a theatrical lighting company in LA,California. The engine stands sold for about $160 plus the cost of the mount.
Lever Lift Stands for Vintage and Modern Motorcycles (about 500 1994-2007)
I made both fixed and folding style steel and aluminum stands to lift MX and dual sport motorcycles.

All styles shown are folding lever arms using brass bushings. These sold for about $160.
There are some very good after market bike stands and aluminum products still being made in the USA. I am proud to have made things people have used and enjoyed over the years.
August 23, 2009 More old stuff:
I made the Aluminum Folding Work Tables from 2002-2007 (about 30 made) They sold from between $500-$600. I sold several of the demo/prototype stands at the tracks for $300. I wish that I would have kept one.

One style was made with struts for support and another style was a truss design. They were relatively light and easy to move around a garage or race pit. They all folded up for storage and travel.
